Housatonic Bank, ca.1830's Obsolete Proof.Stockbridge, Massachusetts, 18xx (ca.1830's), $2, Plate A, MA-1200-G22, SENC, Proof banknote, Banknote printed in black on india paper on thin white card, Allegorical woman with spinning wheel, buildings in background and Massachusetts arms on right flanked by ornate numeral 2's with cherubs attached, a helmeted cameo head on right and Liberty with flag and pole and Liberty cap on left. Uncirculated with a very small nick the just touches the top middle margin, otherwise it appears CU condition. Rawdon, Wright & Hatch New York imprint. Attractive and rare note.
