Black on white paper, Cut out view of mine on left with factory on top left, U.S. Adhesive Revenue stamp on right, S/N 22, VF to Choice VF condition. 20 Shares = $2000. J.H Bufford Lith, Boston. Signed by Oakes Ames as president. Ames was a business man, investor and politician. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and is credited as being the single most important influence in building the Union Pacific portion of the Transcontinental Railroad. He was also noted for being involved in "The Credit Mobilier Scandal" that alleged the improper sale of stock of the railroad's construction Company. A similar example sold over 20 years ago for over $1000. This is the first time we have offered this company.
