Indiana, 1914. 10 Shares, I/C Capital Stock Certificate, Black on brown border and land survey of hill at top with train passing in distance, Issued to and signed by Vanderbilt, Harold Stirling Vanderbilt (1884–1970) was an American railroad executive, banker, sportsman, and member of the prominent Vanderbilt family. A graduate of Harvard and Columbia Law, he served as a director of the New York Central Railroad and other family enterprises but became best known for his contributions to competitive sailing, successfully defending the America’s Cup three times (1930, 1934, 1937). He also invented the modern rules of contract bridge, revolutionizing the game. S/N 816, POCs at bottom, VF to VF+ condition with toning at edges, ABNC.
