India. Lot of 5 hundi (bill of exchange) documents from British India, each bearing an embossed or printed revenue stamp and handwritten text in Bengali and/or Devanagari script that I am unable to translate. Includes a Three Rupees Hundi stamp with Bank of Bengal, Calcutta oval handstamp on the reverse; a Two Annas Hundi stamp; a document bearing a large blue embossed wax seal; a Ten Annas Hundi stamp in red for the State of Bikaner, with an oval accountant's handstamp and signature on the front; and a smaller document with a circular handstamp reading "Very End." Versos show additional endorsements, including a "Received Payment for Bank of Bombay" purple handstamp numbered 483, and further handwritten notations. Text content and specific dates are not legible to me and are not translated. Condition varies, with some edge wear, small losses, and a fold present on the largest piece. (5).
