Lot of 70+ Hundi promissory notes, Black print with large purple stamp at left side, Urdu writing on front and back, Notes were a traditional Indian financial instrument, a type of promissory note or bill of exchange used for credit and remittances. These were used to borrow money or transfer funds and have been in use for centuries, predating modern banking systems. They rely on a system of honor and custom and were even adopted by the British East India Company. Notes are in VF to VF+ condition. (70+). Sold "AS IS" no returns accepted.
