Circular bronze medal and suspension device with ribbon, featuring full-length, full-face figure of a Volunteer of the Flying Column in typical 1917-1921 outfit. Inscribed "CODAGH NA SAOIRSE" (The Struggle for Independence) in Gaelic script. Instituted 1941 and issued with "COMRAC" (Struggle) bar to those who had seen active military service. Manufactured by P. Quinn Ltd. of Dublin and quite rare. XF.
