1930-1960's. Vignette book. 18 by 24 inch reference proof vignette book with hundreds of vignettes with plate numbers written near the proofs in ink. The book includes a large amount of lathework border and corner engravings for stocks and bonds; numerical counters; bond and stock undertints; text from stocks and bonds; a large group of proof coupons from well known California Companies and a lot of other interesting items. Highlights include: circa 1930 to 1950's, Los Angeles Realty transfer documentary stamps of $15, $20 and $25 denomination proof strip of 4 plus one with no denominations; Jeffries Banknote Co. advertising items; a pair of Travel Trading Scrip Certificate proofs; 3 different Statue of Liberty Centennial Currency Certificates with vignettes of Statue of Liberty, Grover Cleveland and Ronald Reagan on large size paper money appearing certificates; a large group of Bank of America proof travelers checks and 5 different proof travelers checks of the "Banco Nacional de Cuba" (ca.1950's), all unique in archive. Overall, a majority of the proofs are from Fine to VF condition with some of the lathework vignettes falling off of the paper. Rare proof reference book from a less commonly seen security printer.
