Germany, Lot of 2 notes, both dated 15th May, 1940, Includes 50 Pfennig, light purple, VF with light stains; and, 1 Mark, Olive green, VF with handling, both P-Unlisted, Star of David top left, back with menorah and Star of David. The Litzmannstadt Ghetto was a World War II ghetto established by the Nazi German authorities for Polish Jews and Roma following the 1939 invasion of Poland. It was the second-largest ghetto in all of German-occupied Europe after the Warsaw Ghetto. (2)
