1911. Issued and pen cancelled stock certificate. 37 Shares preferred stock. Green border and undertint. Arms of New Jersey vignette (company was incorporated in NJ). XF condition. Signed by JohnTaylor as President; Hugh McBreen as Treasurer and issued to and endorsed on back by Robert B.McRoy. McRoy spent half his life as an executive in baseball, serving as secretary of the AL for the league's first 11 years. In 1911 he was part-owner of the Red Sox for a year, and in 1915 he was named vice president and treasurer of the Indians. John I. Taylor was the owner of the Boston Red Sox from 1904 till 1911. Scarce and historic early baseball certificate.
