Auction Date:2010 Apr 15 @ 11:00 (UTC-4 : AST/EDT)
Location:Crowne Plaza Hotel. 401 South Van Brunt St, Englewood, New Jersey, 07631, United States
Westernport, MD, Allegany County. 1859, $5, (Md-305-G8 variety). Issued banknote, Graded in PCGS holder "New 60". Serial # 195. Light brown undertint color instead of listed orange-red. It has great colors and other than one slightly jammed corner on the LL due to mishandling and an ink spot on the left margin, it is a very attractive note and close to listed condition if not claims for a slightly higher grade. Locomotive right to left in middle top, Maryland arms LR and Mr. Clinton on LL. Color variety may be due to it being an earlier printing (serial # 195) compared with the Haxby note with Serial #3608. It might also be due to oxidation, but that does not seem likely. Early ABNC banknote printing from the first year the company was formed. ABNC.
