Waterloo, Illinois, Uncut sheet of 4 notes of central vignettes, titles and text missing underprints and borders, ND (originally printed ca. 1850-60's, these were printed ca.1960-70's by ABNC from the original plates), $1-$2-$3-$5, (All Haxby Unlisted as well as unlisted location "Waterloo"), Haxby has no mention of any notes from Waterloo or with "The Mercantile Bank" title or designs, evidently they are all Unknown notes, Modern "Proprietary Proof Sheet", The $1 note has sailor on LR, young woman with bird on left of large red central numeral "1" and portrait of another young woman on right of numeral and state seal on LL; The $2 note has central Screaming Eagle with woman holding basket on head on UL and state seal on LR; The $3 note has man petting dog on LL, Seated allegorical plenty with cornucopia in middle flanked by two young girls, state seal LR; The $5 note has young girl holding piece of fruit on LR, Native Americans looking at lovely waterfall scene flanked by red numeral "5's" with state seal on LL, Amazing color trial sheet in orange-brown, Black printing with red underprint printed on thin white card, PMG graded Choice About Uncirculated 58, the sheet could be cut and the notes would get a higher grade, but this was unique in the archive. ABNC. (ABN Commemoratives, AIA XI, May 15, 2012)
