Puebla, Mexico, ND (1900s) 1000 Pesos, P-Unlisted, M455, Specimen Circulating Bond-Banknote, Black on brown border, coupons attached at right, Mercury at top center, Back is brown with text, S/N F 00000, Specimen overprints and POCs, PMG graded About Uncirculated 55 EPQ, ABNC. Established under the 1897 Ley General de Instituciones de Crédito, the Banco Español Refaccionario in Puebla was the sixth mortgage bank to receive authorization in Mexico. The institution was primarily established by shareholders of the Banco Oriental de México, securing its official concession on October 4, 1911, with a total capitalization of $2 million ($1 million of which was paid-in). Operations commenced in January 1912, with the bank’s headquarters situated on the upper floor of the Banco Oriental in Puebla.
