The auction will take place at the 3 WEST CLUB at 3 W. 51st Street (at Fifth Avenue), New York, NY 10019
Ann Arbor, Michigan, 1834, $5-$5-$5-$10, (MI-50-X3 Unlisted Partially Issued). The $5 notes have farmers harvesting grain in middle, young woman on top right, steamboat on bottom middle, and Native American in canoe on lower left; the $10 note has cows on top, eagle on bottom, Native American on left and blacksmith on right. This sheet is fully filled out and signed by both President and Secretary as well as dated January 7, 1834, but none of the notes are numbered. Evidently this was ready to be issued but it never was released. Rare in this format. Stamp hinge remnants on back as well as horizontal folds between notes, otherwise the notes appear AU to Uncirculated. DTL.
