Michigan, Specimen $500 General Mortgage 4% Gold Coupon Bond. Ornate chestnut brown border and undertint. Speeding Locomotive passing telegraph wires on top and Griffins on bottom. VF-XF condition. Coupons attached. Red specimen overprint, "00000" serial numbers and POC's. ABNC. Extremely attractive and rare Michigan mining related railroad bond and previously unlisted denomination and color. Unique in Archives. The $1000 is the plate bond in Cox which was also unique and was auctioned by AIA in 2007 to 2008 and this is the first time this unique bond has been offered.
