Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and, Hawaii. Lot of 15 Issued Commercial Checks, Drafts, and Notes representing western mining, lumber, banking, utilities, and mercantile activity. Includes checks and drafts from Carson City Savings Bank, Nevada; Missoula Lumber Company (Western Pine Lumber), Missoula, Montana; Montana Mining Co. (Limited), Marysville, Montana; and Montana National Bank, Helena. Additional items relate to Kit Carson Placers, Basin, Montana; Citizens Telephone Company, Pony, Montana; Pendleton Roller Mills, Pendleton, Oregon; and L. H. Hershfield & Co., Bankers. The group also includes a Territory of Hawaii promissory note payable to Iwasaki Tailor, Honolulu. Designs feature engraved and lithographed formats, western industrial and commercial vignettes, manuscript entries, signatures, endorsements, and applied revenue stamps typical of period business use. Conditions range from Good to Very Fine overall, with expected folds, toning, cancellations, and handling wear consistent with active commercial circulation. (15). Sold “AS IS” no returns accepted.
