U.S. 1870's. 2 pages of early National Banknote Company vignettes with Cuba banknotes. Close to 25 proof vignettes and banknotes. Cuba, 1872 Issue, P-29 through P-32, 5 Centavos to 50 Centavos. Front and back proofs printed in black and mounted on manila paper. Counterfoils are also included. Unlisted as proofs in Pick. The reverse of the sample page has a vignette of Samuel F.B. Morse, bond coupons and borders. Condition ranges from good to fine condition with archival notations in ink on a considerable number of the vignettes. The plate numbers listed on the vignettes or written close to the vignettes range from # 2967 to 2980. Another rare group of banknotes and related vignettes. Unique in archive. NBNC.
