Nevada. Lot of 16 Banking and Financial Documents representing frontier-era banking, gold exchange, and commercial paper associated with Nevada’s silver and gold economy during the late nineteenth century. The group includes multiple stock certificates from Bullion and Exchange Bank; two large-format stock certificates from Carson City Savings Bank; a group of gold drafts issued by Carson City Savings Bank, payable in gold coin; and a group of related Carson City Savings Bank order and payment forms. Together, the documents illustrate the central role of local banks in handling bullion, gold coin transactions, deposits, and commercial exchange in Nevada’s mining economy. Designs feature engraved eagles, allegorical figures, ornate borders, and period typography typical of western banking ephemera and security printing. Conditions range from VG to XF overall, with expected folds, endorsements, cancellations, light staining, and age toning consistent with active use. (16). Sold ‘AS IS’ no returns accepted.
