1861. Proof. Sterlings's Ambrosia Product Advertising label. Large black line on top middle right going through womans hair due to cracked plate. Dated 1861 in micro print on bottom. Also has writen in micro print "(Designed?) and Engraved by (Edward Best?)". Also included is a matching proof vignette used in the design of the label. The bottom of the Ambrosia label has writtien "Portrait from life of Mrs. Lucy Brown". We have the label and the portrait from "life" which is slightly different. Unique pair in archive. CBN. AU-Unc.
