New York, ca. 1850-1860s. Lot of over 40 items. Fiscal Correspondence from various New York State Banks, all dating from the Obsolete and early National Bank Note era, including transmittal letters to and from banks, merchants and banking houses regarding collection on their notes or invoices, and other handwritten communications. A variety of paper sizes, handwriting, and includes letterheads. Banks include: Watertown Bank and Loan Co.; Bank of Cooperstown; Bank of Ilion; Fort Plain Bank; Chicopee National Bank; American Exchange Bank; Banking and Collection House of Kissam & Taylor; and Albany City Bank. All are in VF or better condition. Unchecked for signatures or content and from a new find. (40+)
