New York, ca. 1850-1860s. Lot of over 30 items. Fiscal Correspondence from various New York State Banks, all dating from the Obsolete and early National Bank Note era, including transmittal letters to and from banks, merchants and banking houses regarding collection on their notes or invoices, and other handwritten communications. A variety of paper sizes, handwriting, and includes letterheads. Banks include: Ilion Bank; Chittenango Bank; Albany City Bank; American Exchange Bank; Commercial Bank of Clyde; J. T. Van Vleck & Read, Bankers; and Banking House of Corning & Co. All are in VF or better condition. Unchecked for signatures or content and from a new find. (30+)
