Lot of 6 items, the banquet booklets consist of a front and back cover that is intaglio printed, with the front cover have allegorical young women flanking a Siderography machine under an ornate title, and the back cover with an example of what a siderographer engraving looks like, the lot Includes 4 ornate engraved souvenir programs from the International Association of Siderographers Biennial Banquets taking place 1). September 5th, 1931 at Hotel McAlpin, New York, also included is an intaglio printed invitation for the 1931 banquet; 2). September 5th, 1953 at Hotel Concourse Plaza, New York; 3). September 2nd, 1961 at Hotel Park-Sheraton, New York; and, 4). August 30, 1969 at the Holiday Inn, Fort Lee, New Jersey. Each program is decorated with a finely engraved vignette of allegorical figures flanking a steel-engraving lathe, with covers bound in decorative silk tassels. Also included is a small blue booklet of the Constitution and By-Laws of the Electrotypers and Siderographers Union (Local No. 28-24) dated 1988. A scarce group of union and engraving-trade banquet souvenirs spanning more than half a century, of strong interest to collectors of numismatic, scripophily, and engraving-related ephemera. Condition ranges from AU to CU condition, and intact bindings. (6). Rarely seen security printer items.
