New York. 1895 to 1912, Lot of 2 Specimen Bonds, Includes: 1895, Syracuse Street Railroad Co., $1000 5% First Consolidated Mortgage Forty Year Gold Coupon Bond, Black with green border, Seal of New York at top under curved title, ABNC; 1912, Syracuse, Watertown and St. Lawrence River Railroad Co. $1000 5% First Mortgage Gold Coupon Bond, Black with orange border at top, No vignette with only title at top, Franklin Lee BNC. Both have Specimen overprints, POCs, and are in VF to XF condition. The Syracuse bond is only known as a specimen in Cox, no issued examples known, and the Syracuse, Watertown and St. Lawrence River Railroad is a known railroad, but no issued or specimen certificates of any kind are known on it (except this one). All are rare.
