The book has hundreds of pages with Stock Transfers signed by a railroad official and the stock holder. Included are hundreds of names that may be of historical interest but would require further research. Included are a few of the following notables: Levi Clifford Wade (b. 1843), son of Levi Wade (b. 1812), He attended Yale between 1862 and 1866, Wade served in the Massachusetts General Court from 1876 to 1879, and was Speaker of the House during his last year. He also served as president of the Mexican Central Railway Company and as a director of several other railroad companies. JOHN HENRY PEPPER (1821-1900) was a British scientist and inventor who toured the world with scientific lectures and demonstrations. ÊHe is primarily remembered for popularizing the projection technique known as Pepper's ghost.
