Hoboken, NJ. Lot of 2 Notes, Includes $1 & $3, 1828, Wait 801 & 809, R-3 and R-5. 2 issued pieces, both printed in black with a blank reverse. The New Jersey Manufacturing and Banking Company was incorporated in 1823 and closed in 1829. The $1 note(Wait 801) has a vignette of Mercury at the top left. A vignette of Lafayette standing is at the right, and a small male portrait is at the left. The $3 note(Wait 809) has a central vignette of Justice standing, with a small oval vignette of Washington at the left and a small oval vignette of Franklin at the right. RW&C, NY. (2)
