Lot of 4 items, including a specimen stock certificate, an unissued proof/progress proof certificate, and related printing ephemera consisting of a production file document and an original plant order form from Security Banknote Co., Certificates feature a central allegorical vignette with ornate engraved borders, with specimen designations and cancellation punches. The production file and order form detail printing quantities, layouts, and manufacturing instructions tied to the certificate issue. Printed by Security Banknote Co. Conditions range from VF to XF overall. (4). The New York City Omnibus Corporation operated bus service in Manhattan from 1926 to 1962, expanding in 1935–36 with routes replacing the dismantled New York Railways streetcar lines. It acquired the Fifth Avenue Coach Company in 1954, took the Fifth Avenue Coach Lines name in 1956, and entered bankruptcy in 1962, its operations passing to a public authority.
