Paris, France, May 8, 1793. Hand written letter by P.C.L Baudin, a member of the government and Directeur des Postes, releasing Guerin, Inspector of Paper, after the issuance of 300 Million Assignats on paper that Guerin inspected. The letter freed Guerin from his position. Also included are two different possible reproductions of official French Government announcements, both announcing the 1792 issue of new assignats. Extremely rare early French Banknote related documents. Fine with light foxing on the letter as well as a couple of small corner tip bends, otherwise they appear in VF condition.
