Approximately 112 different 2.5 by 4 inch trade card - CDV illustrated cards printed on thin card. Over 100 were published by J.H.Bufford and 11 by L.Prang & Co. Mostly F-XF condition. They have been paper hinged to black pages and can be easily removed. Some toning but overall they look XF. Mostly black and grey but a few have colored outer borders. All of the portraits are in ovals. Images of Gens., Colonels, Captains and others included, mostly all Civil War related. Examples are Com. Buchanan of the Merrimac; Gen. Zollicoffer; Frt Warren, Boston Harbor; and many other personages, some obscure and some notable. Rare assortment of these civil war era cards. Also includes 2 half tone photographs of Gen. Robert E.Lee, 4 by 6 in.; Magnus letterhead with "Signing of the Declaration of Independence" and an early map of the West. Nice group of Civil War related mater
