Philadelphia. March 3, 1906. Held at the Bellvue-Stratford Hotel. Issued program with ornate black and green cover and 3 printed pages and blank back. Held together by original red ribbon. Front cover has Amazing patriotic eagle, shield and flag over portrait of Penn (I think) in black with green border and title. Inside pages multi-color menu page with menu of oysters, terrapin soup and either lamb or guinea hen (I think a fancy chicken). The 2nd inside page has a heading of multi-color allegorical women flanking circle with "Toasts" on top with listing of speeches with some ironic titles like "The Moral Influence of Banking" and "Some Unfavorable Aspects of Recent Progress" if you take into account that there was a major financial panic in 1907 equivalent to what we are living through today (Will we ever learn?). Extremely rare and attractive ABNC engraved item with historic and ironic content. XF condition. ABNC. First time seen by cataloger.
