Manila, Philippine Islands. Silver Certificate Unique Presentation Proof, $2, Series of 1906, Unlisted Proof Banknote. Manila, Philippine Islands., 2 Silver Pesos, Similar to P-32a Unlisted Proof, Unique Proof from presentation album auctioned at Stack's “Americana Sale - September 2010”, the banknote is printed on thin white paper in black without undertint with 2 to 3 mm margins, blank back with no reverse included, Portrait of Rizal at left, Smith | Branagan signatures, “000000” pin-punch numerals on lower left and upper right Serial Number locations, No plate letter engraved on the note, Mounted on a large size album page on white thin card stock. The book which this note was taken from may have been printed ca. 1906 or 1907 since the latest note offered from it were 1906 issues, evidently it was put together for some dignitary or politically important person. The note has exceptional paper quality, bright original colors and impressive design, other than very light wrinkling at left, the note appears Choice to Gem Quality, It is still in the original holder from Stacks, A trophy of the highest order for the Philippine collector. No Imprint by BEP, but BEP engraving.
