China, Lot of 4 notes, Includes 1918, Bank of China, Harbin Branch, 10 cents, P-48a S/M#C294-93a, Issued, black on m/c, Temple of Heaven at right, back brown, S/N 687670, Choice AU to Uncirculated condition; also included are 3 different varieties of the Kuang Hsin Syndicate of Heilungkiang, 1920 "Small Money" Issues, 10 cents, P-S1572 S/M#H7-39, violet on light blue underprint, red seals, back blue, S/N03199, Choice Fine to VF; 10 cents, P-S1575 S/M#H7-40?, Gray-green with village in center, 3 character Chinese overprint in red and red seals, back orange and green, S/N 0058658, AU to Choice AU with hinge remnants from previously being mounted on page from Pogrebetsky's book, this and the following notes have initials on the top right corner on the backs by Pogrebetsky written in pencil; 50 cents, P-S1577 S/M#H7-42?, Green with fortress tower in center, 3 character Chinese overprint in red and red seals, back orange and green, S/N 0521501, AU with hinge remnants from previously being mounted on page from Pogrebetsky's book, this and the previous note are extremely rare notes in any form and both possibly the finest known, Also includes the original page from his book picturing all 4 of the notes in this lot with 2 notes missing. All 4 of these notes are the Plate notes from Pogrebetsky's personal reference collection and are the photographed plate notes from his rare Chinese banknote book published in Harbin in 1929.
