1872-1950's. 5 different proof vignette versions of "Progress" with Native Americans viewing cities and trains in the distance from hill top. All are printed on india paper with 4 mounted on manila file folders and one unmounted. 1). "Progress" with micro-printing listing 1872 date vignette was registered with Congress. Notations on folder list condition of die and roller and that the vignette was used on the 1990 Archive Series "The first American"; 2). "Homestake Mining" with allegorical men flanking same vignette; 3, 4). Vignette used for stock certificate top with the addition of "Number" and "Share" boxes and frame around vignette; 5). "Apache Corp" with Apache logo added to top right of vignette. Choice group. This vignette was also used on many other stocks, bonds and miscellaneous documents. Rare assortment. ABNC.
