Port Angeles, Washington Territory, ND (ca. 1887), Uncut Tete Beche pair, 5 cts -5 cts, P-Unlisted, Blue with no under print, each note of the uncut pair measures 1.25 by 1.75 inches, Company initials on top with denomination in middle with text on bottom "Merchandise at Retail". Choice AU Condition. This is the only uncut pair in this Tete Beche format found on this sheet and one of only 3 uncut pairs in any format that were present on the sheet. The Puget Sound Co-operative Colony was a Utopian collective established at Portland in May 1887 and moved to¾the mouth of Ennis Creek, Port Angeles, Washington Territory in June of that year. Desirable and unique fractional scrip note pair of this rare Western Territorial banknote. "West Shore Litho & Eng. Co. Portland, OR."
