United States and Foreign, 1890s to 1970s. Lot of 15 Issued and Specimen stock and bond certificates representing railroads, utilities, telecommunications, and general industry. Includes Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad Co.; Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co.; Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway Co.; Chicago Rapid Transit Co.; City of New Britain Subway Fund; Western Union Corp.; Indiana Bell Telephone Co.; American Natural Resources Co.; Glen Alden Corp.; Quinta Corp.; PVC Container Corp.; General Tin Investments, Ltd., Bartica Co.; and Covina Citrus Association, among others. Mix includes both large format railroad bonds and mid to late 20th century corporate stock certificates, several with specimen overprints or punch cancellations. Designs feature classic railroad vignettes, allegorical figures, industrial scenes, and ornate engraved borders typical of American Bank Note style production.
