New York, 1850, Multi-vignetted ad note stating "Specimen of American Bank Note Engraving, Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, New York" with small print underneath on the margin "Engraved for Part 1. of the Patent Office Report of 1850", Back bank, Printed in black on thin off white card, Washington and Franklin portraits on the lower left and right, Eagle left, Allegorical Liberty at right with capital building in middle flanked by denomination counters "3" and "5". AU condition with slight water staining on the middle right, still very attractive for its age. Historic security printer ad note. RWH&E.
