Peru., ND (1872)-1879. Pair of Banknotes, Includes: El Banco de Tacna, 1 Sol, P-S382r; Republica del Peru, 20 Sol, P-6. Banco de Tacna was a Peruvian bank founded in the city of Tacna , in March 1872. The bank closed in 1880 due to the War of the Pacific , but opened again in 1884 under Chilean legislation and its banknotes circulated again, but this time stamped as Bolivianos . The bank began its liquidation on April 7 , 1921 in accordance with the laws of Chile , being taken over by the Superintendence of Banks of Peru on October 17 , 1931. Notes range from VF-XF condition. (2). Sold "AS IS" no returns accepted.
