Hartford, Connecticut, 1783, Lot of 2 Promissory Notes, both relaying payments owed to Gideon Noble, for service in the United States in both 1780 and 1781. One piece is with black text with dark brown handwriting, and states the balance owed to Noble was 24 Pounds, 13 Shillings and 11 Pence, "by the Committees of the State and of the Army." Second piece is all handwritten in dark brown, certifying that Gideon Noble was in service of the United States Continental Army, signed by Selectmen Ebenezer Heath and John Johnson. VF condition. (2)
