Somerville, NJ. Lot of 5, 1862 dated notes, Includes 5 cts, 10 cts, 25 cts, 50 cts, Wait 2213-2216, R-4. The 5 cent, 25 cent and 50 cent notes all are signed but may be fraudulent signatures. No examples have been offered in Heritage auctions. Culver Barcalow issued Merchant Scrip Notes during the Civil War. Although the Wait book lists these as an unknown issuer, there is evidence they were issued by Culver Barcalow. XF to Uncirculated. (5)
