ca.1860's-70's. 122x66x3mm steel die. Shows oblique view of the steamer on the water with another sailing ship in the background. Die "V 49176" and "CBN CO." imprint at bottom right, accompanied by a print of the die mounted on the filing envelope. Launched in 1866, this Long Island Sound steamer hosted a meeting between then President Grant and financiers Jay Gould and Jim Fisk, Jr.. XF condition. Unique in archive.
