South Viet Nam, ND (ca. 1956), 200 Dong, P-14 Unlisted essay back design of soldier in front of palm tree as used on the final design, but instead of the front of the note it is used on the back. It is completely hand drawn in pencil on thin tracing type of paper mounted to white card. The design of the borders on this essay are similar but not exactly the same as the border design used in the final design of the banknote that includes a young girl with sheaves in field, this drawing represents a unique remnant of the banknote design work that went into the development of this important banknote series. The drawing is 6.5 by 3.75 inches close to banknote size and in choice uncirculated condition. The final design included the soldier on the front of the note, not the back. Unique production artwork from Security BNC Archives. SBNC.
