The auction will take place at the 3 WEST CLUB at 3 W. 51st Street (at Fifth Avenue), New York, NY 10019
Madrid, Spain, 1884. 50 Pesetas, P-25, issued banknote, Black on green underprint on face, allegorical woman with globe on left, portrait of Juan Alvarez De Mendizabal at right, back green with allegorical woman feeding eagle, S/N 322792, Spectacular banknote rarely seen in any collection and infrequently coming to auction. The note appears Fine+ to VF and has 3 large margins and the counterfoil on the left, bright colors, sharp corners and still firm body and paper quality with a small pin hole on the right middle border margin, a small hole in the middle that is pin hole sized and a very small 1 mm repair to a minor tear in the middle upper margin away from design, the note evidently folded but with only minimal circulation, This trophy note is sure to attract considerable attention and will enhance any advanced collection. ABNC.
