State Credit Notes, 1843-56 Issue.Russia. 1856. 3 Rubles. P-A34 unlisted. Redated and possibly reissued in 1913 and then stamped “INVALID” in Russian. Issued banknote. S/N 572461. Black and green on light green underprint. Crowned double headed eagle on top middle, back is black with Arms in center. The note appears VG+ with edge faults, a small lower right corner tip is missing and there are 3 or 4 small wear holes in the middle otherwise the note is very attractive for the condition. The note is dated “23 Mar. 1913” as well as the additional serial number “003005” which are both handstamped on top right margin in blue and a rectangular overprint in purple in middle with Russian text for “Invalid” on front and back. Extremely rare variety which was officially reissued, possibly by mistake and then invalidated.
