This land was sold for $60.13, and the patent was signed by the Governor of Indiana at the time, Oliver P. Morton. Black text with black border, green seal at bottom left corner. Fine condition with some splitting and holes. Oliver Hazard Perry Throck Morton (August 4, 1823 _ November 1, 1877), commonly known as Oliver P. Morton, was a U.S. Republican Party politician from Indiana. He served as the 14th Governor (the first native-born) of Indiana during the American Civil War, and was a stalwart ally of President Abraham Lincoln.
