State of Mississippi Uncut Sheet of 4 Proofs.Jackson, Mississippi. Lot of 4 notes (uncut sheet of 4), 186x (ca.1970's), $10-20-50-100, Haxby Unlisted; Modern “Proprietary Proofs”. The $10 proof has a man on lower left, young woman on lower right and man with 2 horses in middle; the $20 note has a young woman with bird on lower left, mules pulling wagon of cotton bales and portrait of man on lower right; the $50 note has portrait of man on left, slave sitting on mule pulling wagon in middle and slave picking cotton on lower right; the $100 note has allegorical woman and child on left, slave holding basket of cotton on left and portrait of man on right. Notches on all 4 margins for printing registration. Black printing without underprint printed on thin white card, Uncirculated condition. ABNC. Archival “Proprietary” proofs rarely seen in sheet form.
