New York, 1959. Hardcover book titled “The Story of American Bank Note Company" by William H. Griffiths, covered in a plastic protector. Vignette on hardcover in green, with title underneath, Gray with dark brown text and border at left. 92 pages long, Black text, with 9 pages of steel-plate printed vignettes interspersed throughout. Included vignettes are: Presidents of the United States; Maritime Vignettes/Railroad Vignettes; Specimens of Various Styles of Engraving; Domestic Subjects/Subjects of Other Countries; Animals and Birds/Allegorical Vignettes for Commerce and Industry; Allegorical Vignettes for Commerce and Industry; Prominent Americans; Prominent People of Other Countries; and American Bank Note Company's Map of the World, lithographically printed. With a Foreword by the Chairman and President of the ABNC, W. Frederic Colclough, this book covers the time period from 1795 to 1958. It charts the origins and the rise of the company to the major printing company it is today. VF condition with very faint stain on cover, otherwise in excellent condition.
