Hectograph signature only. With signature and seal of General Gordon. PMG graded Uncirculated 62 with note of minor stains and slight paper layer separation. This is one of the famous British/Sudanese banknotes smuggled out of Sudan in 1885, after the siege of the capital city of Khartoum. These notes were issued by famous British general, Charles Gordon, to pay his troops during that siege. All of them were thought to have been destroyed by the fanatical conquerors, but a few were saved and smuggled out of Sudan. There are less than 3000 known to exist, Very Rare.
