New York, 1884, Filled out 2 page Proposal to supply the Rosebud Agency 6,000,000 pounds of beef (8,000 head of cattle averaging 750 Pounds each) on a monthly basis, The proposal is printed on a Commissioner of Indian Affairs form. The Rosebud Agency is currently an Indian reservation in South Dakota, United States. It is the home of the federally recognized Sicangu Lakota, the Upper Brulé Sioux Nation, and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (RST), a branch of the Lakota people. The Rosebud Reservation was established in 1889, 4 years after this proposal, by the partition of the Great Sioux Reservation which was created in 1868 by the Treaty of Fort Laramie.
