Switzerland, 1920. $1000, Specimen, 5 1/2% External Loan Gold Coupon Bond. Allegorical women flank Arms of Switzerland. Black printing with orange border and undertint. Red specimen overprints, "00000" serial numbers and POCs. Appears in XF condition with Coupons attached but there has been archival reinforcement of the folds due to splitting and the age of the paper. ABNC. In 1920, Switzerland joined the League of Nations, which was based in Geneva, on condition that it was exempt from any military requirements. Rare bond with only 3 examples of this color found in the ABN Archives in 2002 and this is the last one available.
