Bernardsville, NJ. Lot of 2 notes. 6 1/4 cents & $1, Aug. 14, 1837 and May 9, 1840, Wait Unlisted & 65, R-7 . The 6 1/4c note(Hoober 400-B) is unlisted in Wait and is unissued. About 10% of this note is missing at the left side and would have been VF with damage. The $1 note has a central vignette of Washington before crossing the Delaware. A vignette of Penn is at the left, and a vignette of Washington is at the right. Parts of both left and right ends of this note are missing and is Almost good. The Bernardsville where this issuer was located was in Mercer County, on the Delaware River, 8 miles above Trenton.
