Beverly, NJ. Lot of 5 Notes, $1, $2, & $3, 1861, Wait 67,70, & 75, R-4. Five issued notes, all printed in black on one side. The Beverly Bank opened in 1860 and closed in 1862. The two $1 notes (Wait 67) have a central vignette showing a spread eagle with factories in the background. The $2 note(Wait 70) has a central vignette of horses frightened by lightening and cattle in a stream in the background. The two $3 notes(Wait 75) have a central vignette of horses on a towpath, with a train and steamboat in the background. One of the $3 notes is punch cancelled with 'BROKEN BANK' and 'SUFFOLK NATIONAL BANK'. VG to Fine Condition. ABN imprint. (5)
