Thomas Price (1837-1912) was a Welsh-born chemist and assayer. He arrived in the United States in 1862. He worked as an assayer for the San Francisco Refinery, as well as teaching chemistry at Toland Medical College. He later become a freelance consultant providing services to mining companies worldwide. Rare gold-related piece. VF condition.
